Scholarship
Each year the Junior League of Racine awards a $2,000 scholarship to a graduating Racine County high school female that has demonstrated a commitment to voluntarism. The Junior League of Racine is an organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women, and improving the community through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. By publicly recognizing and rewarding an excellent volunteer, the Junior League applauds voluntarism in the community and hopes to encourage other young women to become committed to volunteering. The scholarship applications are judged on voluntarism in the community and will not be based on financial need. Applicants must plan to attend a four year accredited college or university, have a cumulative grade point average of 2.5 or better and be a Racine County high school student. Scholarship applications and guidelines are available at all Racine County high schools, certain youth organizations, and on the web site.
