Community Advisory Council
The Community Advisory Council is a group of outstanding civic leaders who volunteer their time to provide a valuable perspective for League in the evaluation of its current community involvement and its future planning. Council members may also be called upon during the year to assist with League projects and activities such as the Annual Scholarship selection process, the six month project review analysis, etc.
Council members serve a 3-year term, with the option to continue for a second 3-year term. Terms are staggered so as to allow no more than one-third of the Council to be replaced each year. No
member may serve more than two consecutive 3-year terms. Recommendations for Council members are solicited from League members. Council members should represent a diverse field of community leaders through gender, ethnicity, employment positions and community interests and involvement.
The objectives of the Council are:
- To advise the League on community needs in the area of interest each member represents.
- To act as a “sounding board” for ideas from the League and the community.
- To advise on future projects and endeavors of the League.
- To assist in the organization and functions of the Council.
The Junior League of Racine extends its sincere thanks to the members of the Community Advisory Council for their willingness to serve as Advisors, offering guidance and thoughtful participation. Their support of and service to League is greatly appreciated and warmly acknowledged.
